5 days Rosevelt creek back to the roots

Dear Guest, welcome to this ‘Through the dense Forest to the Roseveltpiek’ trip.

Please pay attention to the following: Check-in is in the morning hours at Vortex airline at Zorg en Hoop airport. The flight takes over an hour with a Cessna aircraft to Apetina.
At Apetina airport you will be welcomed by the Wayana team after which you will walk to the riverbank to board the Korjaal.
After a few minutes of sailing you arrive in the village where you move into the Kuluwayak guesthouse followed by an introduction to the Wayana people.
After lunch and afternoon rest you will sail to the Punsula to cool off and take a bath.
When you return, you can enjoy a delicious meal in the evening.

You wake up in the lovely Kuluwayaklodge, with a panoramic view of the Tapanahony River. The sunrise here is truly beautiful! On this day, led by a guide, you will take a walk in the village, get to know the community and get a good impression of daily life in a Wayana village.
After lunch follows the approximately 3-hour boat trip in the Tusukreek where you arrive at Pieterkampu in the afternoon. In the evening you can enjoy dinner.

On this day you wake up in the jungle next to a narrow creek. After breakfast you get ready to climb the Roseveltpiek mountain where you have a beautiful view of the vast jungle of Suriname. In the afternoon you return to camp for a meal. After packing we walk to the river bank and take the canoe to Pensakamp where we will spend the night. After a refreshing dip in the creek, you can enjoy dinner.

Today you can take some time to rest, swim and relax. After lunch we pack and then sail back to the village.

Unfortunately, the last day has already arrived. After breakfast you have the opportunity to buy souvenirs from the ladies. Then it’s cleaning up and packing. After greeting the village, you sail to the airport from where you fly back to Zorg en Hoop airport in Paramaribo.
